Meeting Advanced Care Needs Where You Are
When health needs change, you deserve a place where family feels at home, and your personal well-being remains the highest priority. The best thing about Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury’s (RWC) status as a continuing care retirement community is that we provide a full continuum of care, from independent living to licensed nursing services, so you’ll never have to leave the beautiful community you call home to get advanced care.
Our dedicated team delivers expert medical attention, specialized daily therapies, and compassionate support, so your safety and independence are supported. We focus heavily on your holistic health, creating a nurturing environment that honors your dignity while keeping you deeply connected to the vivid social life of our community.
Total LifeCare
At RWC, we firmly believe that transitioning to a higher level of care should bring you complete peace of mind, rather than financial challenges. Once you establish your roots in our community, your initial entrance fee guarantees your access to our advanced health services. If your medical needs ever shift, you won’t face unpredictable or overwhelming costs. Your standard monthly fee covers your comprehensive nursing care, meaning you only pay additional charges for extra meals and the specific support services you request.
Residents who choose our Total LifeCare program upon moving to RWC will receive most services at the Westbury Health Center at no additional cost.
at the Westbury Health Center
Conveniently connected to RWC’s main building, the Westbury Health Center is equipped and staffed to care for residents who are unable to care for themselves at home but who do not require hospitalization.
As a Medicare and Medicaid-certified nursing center, the Center provides a full range of services, including rehabilitative therapies. Above all, our dedicated nursing team and specialists’ quality of care stand out.
- Each room is equipped with a bathroom and nurse-call system.
- The Westbury Health Center has its own dining area, an activity room, laundry facilities, a whirlpool bath, and a physical therapy room.
The Westbury Health Center team coordinates closely with Rappahannock General Hospital for residents requiring hospitalization or outpatient services. Residents who opt for our Total LifeCare program when moving to RWC receive most services in the Westbury Health Center at no additional charge.

The Importance of LifeCare
As a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), we proudly offer LifeCare contracts to help residents make the most of our continuum of care. This model allows us to meet your healthcare needs should they ever change as you build a life here at RWC.
A place in licensed nursing care is assured for residents with a LifeCare contract. This reinforces the importance of moving into independent living while you are medically eligible, so your future is guaranteed.
