RWC Foundation Golf Tournament Update for 2019
Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury Foundation’s 35th Annual Open Golf Tournament benefitting the RWC Fellowship Fund will be held April 25 at the Golden Eagle Golf Course.
The much-anticipated annual event debuted before the first residents moved onto RWC’s Irvington campus. Proceeds from this charitable event support the RWC Fellowship Fund, which ensures continued residency to those who may no longer afford the cost despite prudent planning. It also provides a wide variety of programs available at RWC for residents and the local community.
The format is Captain’s Choice with a shotgun start at noon. The rain date is April 30.
Individual golf registration is $125 and includes lunch, golf with cart, snacks, beverages, prizes and a reception. A new vehicle lease, donated by Bill Hudgins GMC in Gloucester, is the hole-in-one prize. Prizes will also be awarded for closest to the pin and longest drive for women’s and men’s teams. Awards will be given for the top teams in each flight.
Sponsorships are available and range from $150 for tournament patrons to $5,000 for presenting sponsors. You can sponsor a team, hole, special promotion and more!
“The golf tournament has generated great excitement over the years among our residents, staff and the Northern Neck community,” said LuAnne Davis, RWC’s Vice President of Marketing and Development. “It’s a wonderful way to launch the golf season, have a great time and give back to the community at the same time.”
Since 1986, the Fellowship Fund has provided more than $5.5 million in grants to assure RWC residents can enjoy a lifestyle of dignity and comfort at RWC’s Total LifeCare Retirement Community.
Registration for the golf tournament is limited to the first 36 paid teams. For more information or to register, call the RWC Development Office at 804-438-4350 or email [email protected].
