2018 Keep’N It Local Career Fair Set for April 27  

RWC to host nearly 20 area employers

Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury and its partners are hosting a “Keep’N It Local” Career Fair 4-7 p.m. on April 27. Nearly 20 area businesses and organizations with positions to fill will be on hand to meet and greet local job seekers. It will be held on RWC’s campus at 132 Lancaster Dr. in Irvington.

The fair is free to employers and employees. Additional employers are welcome to participate and should call 438-4000 and ask for Human Resources to reserve space. Features include on-site interviews, resume tips, culinary demos, refreshments and door prizes.

“We are happy to host this important event for our community,” said RWC Vice President of Marketing & Development LuAnne Davis. “Every month at RWC, we have at least six to 10 job opportunities we post on our website at rw-c.org, and we find it is extremely competitive to find top talent in this market. This job fair should bring the cream of the crop out to see what is available locally. Hopefully, some good matches between employees and employers will be made.”

Hines & Associates Inc., Fairfields Volunteer Fire Department, Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce, Lancaster Community Library, Lancaster Sheriff’s Office, The Link, Northern Neck Technical Center, Omega Protein, Rappahannock Community College, Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury, Rotary International and the YMCA.
