Agecroft Hall and Its History

Discover the remarkable story of Agecroft Hall and its journey from England to Richmond, Virginia. By the 1920s, the historic English manor had fallen into disrepair. In 1925, Richmond businessman T. C. Williams Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, purchased the property and arranged for portions of the manor to be carefully dismantled, shipped across the Atlantic, and reconstructed in Richmond. This presentation will explore the history of the centuries-old home, its preservation, and its extraordinary transformation into one of Virginia’s distinctive historic landmarks.
